In an unprecedented move that combines the realms of science and spirituality, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stirred the nation’s imagination on August 26th by naming the Chandrayaan-3 moon lander’s landing site as ‘Shiv Shakti Point.’ As the nation held its collective breath, the Prime Minister’s proclamation echoed through the hallowed halls of the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru. To discover the beautiful universe’ wonders and the amazing feats that people are capable of is like embarking on a remarkable adventure.
Binding of science with Spirituality
When science and the feeling of something greater come together, the name chosen really makes it different. ‘Shiv Shakti Point,’ like a tapestry woven from the fabric of ancient mythology and cutting-edge scientific prowess, represents a unique fusion. Much like the cosmic balance represented by the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti in Hindu mythology, the appellation of the lunar landing site encapsulates the harmony between human ambition and the celestial mysteries.
Shiv Shakti: Inspiration for future
Amidst the buzz of scientific instruments and the calculated precision of engineering feats, the Prime Minister’s words echoed the loftiest aspirations. The name chosen is like a strong message to the upcoming generations – it’s telling them to use the unlimited power of science to make the world better for everyone. It is just like giving a push to the next generation of scientists, thinkers and young talents to step forwards and work for the betterment of the country.
Women breaking the limit
As the name unfurls across the starlit canvas of the cosmos, it carries with it the acknowledgment of women scientists’ pivotal role in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Prime Minister further added that the important role played by women scientists in making this mission a success is commendable. This will spread the message of including everyone going beyond the gender. Shiv Shakti Point’ shows that more women are now at par with men and are becoming a part of science. It clearly illustrates that India since its Independence has always welcomed the talents and their innovative ideas. It has never discriminated between its citizens. Even the constitution of India also talks about equality.
A Win in Science, a Pledge to Keep Progressing
‘Shiv Shakti Point’ becomes a geographic milestone for India’s scientific triumphs, as Chandrayaan-3’s lander touched the lunar surface after a meticulous 40-day journey through the cosmos. The speech from Prime Minister depicted the amount of happiness among the Indians for the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3. He did not miss the chance to appreciate the efforts and dedication of the team of scientist. The mission’s success happened because the team worked really hard and were very careful. They’ve also made things easier for future missions to come.
Tiranga Point: A Salute to Resilience
But the cosmic symphony doesn’t end there. Amidst the lunar expanse, ‘Tiranga Point’ stands as a poignant reminder of Chandrayaan-2’s journey, where the Indian tricolor was imprinted – did anyone really saw this? This special name is like saying “thank you” to India’s never-give-up attitude. It represents the strength of the country lies in staying together in difficult times. It’s like a guiding light in the sky, honoring the hard work that makes our space program strong.
Shiv Shakti: Bringing People Together
Within a world filled with amazing scientific discoveries and big achievements, ‘Shiv Shakti Point’ and ‘Tiranga Point’ hold more meaning than just words. As stated by the Prime Minister these names stand as symbols of togetherness, showing our country’s pride and how human dreams mix with the mysteries of the universe.
Shiv Shakti and Tiranga : Religion wins over Nation
Take a leap and just think what is going on in the country since past few years you will be able to see that how the efforts of the scientists are being utilized for some other agenda. If we compare the success of both Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3, it cannot be denied that the government has yet again tried to give religion a superior place over nation. This act is not a surprise as India is heading towards a crucial general election of Lok Sabha in early 2024. Although ISRO and India has the right to name the points but giving it a name which is specific to a religion doesn’t binds the nation together.
During my childhood I had read the above poem written by Shri Makhan Lal Chaturvedi where he portrays the wish of a flower to come under the feet of the soldiers fighting for the motherland rather than being offered on the head of a God. This shows how the things have changed whereby religion has become important than the motherland.
Conclusion
Beyond just being the names of two points on moon, these names are significant because they have meaning for everyone. These points remind us of the first people who explored space from India and all the great things our country did. These names are like guiding lights, showing the way for new generations to dream, explore and feel inspired.
